Adaline Lawson-Fillip, CPNPPediatric Nurse Practitioner

I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who truly believes there is no greater joy than caring for
children and supporting their families. I earned my undergraduate degree in Integrative
Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder. I then completed my Master of Science in
Nursing at Vanderbilt University, specializing in Pediatric Primary Care.

I have always felt deeply called to pediatrics. Children bring so much laughter, honesty, and
resilience into the world, and I love how naturally they remind us not to take life too seriously.
Building meaningful connections with kids and their families is the most rewarding part of what I
do, and it is a true privilege to walk alongside them during such important seasons of life.

My approach to care focuses on supporting children in all aspects of their health, physically,
emotionally, and mentally, while celebrating the diversity of the families we serve. I am proficient
in conversational Spanish and able to conduct visits in Spanish, which allows me to connect
more deeply with a broader range of families. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to care
for such a wide range of patients and to help children grow into their healthiest, happiest selves.

I love working at The Center for Pediatric Excellence because it is rooted in strong values,
genuine compassion, and a shared commitment to caring for the whole child. The clinic is
energetic, joyful, and full of life, and it truly feels like a family. I feel supported here not only as a
provider, but as a person, and I am encouraged to care for patients in a way that reflects both
excellence and heart.

Family is incredibly important to me, and I value the time I get to spend building memories with
the people I love. I enjoy quality time with my husband, Frank, whether we are trying new
restaurants, exploring hikes and parks throughout Middle Tennessee, or cheering on the
Colorado Buffaloes together. Staying connected with my family is a top priority, and I cherish
time with my parents in Colorado, my younger brother in Georgia, and my extended family. I
especially love spending time outside in Alabama with my cousins, who are like siblings,
laughing, sharing stories, and soaking in beautiful sunsets together.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, walking my English Springer Spaniel, Tilly,
and relaxing at home with my fluffy black-and-white cat, Ozzy. I also love skiing and traveling to
new cities and countries whenever I can.

It is an honor I never take lightly to play even a small role in a child’s life, and I thank God every
day for the opportunity to serve children and families with compassion, joy, and purpose.

Diana Blanco Practice Manager

I am proud to serve as the Practice Manager at The Center for Pediatric Excellence (CPE), where my journey has been one of growth, dedication, and heartfelt commitment to the families we serve. I began my career with CPE as a Medical Biller and later transitioned into the role of Medical Receptionist, spending two years at the front desk welcoming patients and supporting their care experience. Through hard work, teamwork, and a deep passion for excellence in pediatric healthcare, I was honored to advance into the Practice Manager role after three years with the organization.

In my current role, I oversee the daily operations of the practice and work closely with both our clinical and administrative teams to ensure that every family who walks through our doors feels valued, supported, and cared for. Creating a warm, efficient, and family-centered environment is at the heart of what I do, and I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of service and care for our community.

Originally from Nashville, I am a proud graduate of John Overton High School. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, cooking authentic Mexican cuisine, and attending church with my family. My faith, family, and love for community continue to inspire the way I lead and serve each day.

I am passionate about leadership, continuous learning, and professional growth, and I remain committed to helping guide the ongoing success of CPE while ensuring every child and family feels right at home.

Kei’Sha WatersMedical Assistant

Hey, my name is Ke’isha Waters, and I’m proud to be part of the team at The Center for
Pediatric Excellence, PLLC. I have a strong passion for working with children and truly enjoy
building connections with both kids and their families. I love communicating, laughing, and
bringing a smile to every child and parent I encounter—it’s one of my favorite parts of what I do.

I have six years of experience in the medical field and bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and
adaptability to my role each day. I’m committed to personal growth, wellness, and continuous
improvement, and I strive to create a positive, welcoming experience for every family who walks
through our doors.

What I love most about CPE is the uplifting and supportive environment. It is a place where
positivity truly thrives, guided by Christian values rooted in honesty, love, and compassion—
without judgment. My own children received their pediatric care here and felt completely at
home, which made it especially meaningful for me to become part of this incredible team.

I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, graduated from Hunter’s Lane High School, and
have lived in Rutherford County for over five years. I am a proud mother of two beautiful
children and enjoy spending time daily with them and my mother. I’m actively involved in my
church community at Jackson Street Church of Christ.

When I’m not at work or with my family, you can usually find me at the gym with Michelle or
traveling with friends as we seek out new adventures.

Jael MillerMedical Assistant

My name is Jael Miller, and I am a Medical Assistant at CPE, currently in my first role
in healthcare. I thrive in fast-paced, patient-centered environments and take pride in contributing
to a welcoming and supportive clinical setting. I am especially passionate about working with
children and their families, and I value building trust through compassion, clear communication,
and attentive care.

I particularly enjoy being part of CPE because of its strong sense of teamwork and its
commitment to treating everyone with respect and kindness. I strive to support both patients and
providers by staying organized, adaptable, and eager to learn, while maintaining a positive
attitude in high-pressure situations.

I can speak and understand some Lao, and I value learning about my cultural
background as part of my personal identity. I grew up in Rochester, New York before relocating
to Tennessee at a young age.I am currently pursuing a degree in Biochemistry at Middle
Tennessee State University on the pre-medical track, with the goal of attending medical school
and becoming a physician. Through my role at CPE, I am gaining valuable hands-on experience
that continues to reinforce my passion for medicine and patient advocacy.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with friends and
family, and playing both board games and video games, which help me maintain balance and
recharge.

Michelle HernandezMedical Assistant

I’m Michelle Hernandez, a bilingual Medical Assistant at The Center for Pediatric Excellence,
PLLC. I’ve always known I wanted to work with children, and there is nothing more rewarding to
me than helping our smallest patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during their visits.

I have over six years of experience in the medical field, and I believe every child is unique and
deserves compassionate, individualized care. I love partnering with families to support their
child’s health and growth from infancy through the teen years, making sure parents feel
informed and supported along the way.

One of the things I love most about working at CPE is our inclusive environment, where people
from different backgrounds come together with one shared goal: helping children thrive. I am
fluent in English and Spanish, which allows me to better connect with and support the diverse
families we serve. I’m also proud to be originally from Middle Tennessee and to care for children
in my home community.

When I’m not at the Center, you can usually find me hiking, going to the gym, or enjoying quality
time with my family.
